The goal of this project was to capture the view outside my
window across different seasons. The assignment encouraged
observation of natural changes and translating them into a
visual narrative.

Design Process
Rather than pursuing strict realism, I approached my backyard
shed with a simplified, playful style that reflects my personal
connection to my backyard. Using India Ink and gouache, I
emphasized the shifting shadows and seasonal atmosphere
while maintaining a childlike sense of wonder. My intention was
to balance detail with nostalgia — highlighting the shed’s
presence as both a physical structure and a symbol of the joy
of playing outside.
