The goal was to design and produce a monthly newsletter for
the EQUAL club that highlighted important historical and
current events, staff members, and ongoing initiatives. The
newsletter needed to be accessible, visually engaging, and
adaptable for recurring monthly editions.

Design Process
I established the newsletter’s standards, including color palette,
layout, and highlight sections, while making the design
interchangeable each month to signal freshness. Accessibility
was a priority, so I used larger lettering and clear formatting to
support readers with dyslexia or vision difficulties. For this
edition’s cover, I created a collage of historical LGBTQ photos
with a scrapbook‑style feel to honor LGBTQ History Month and
emphasize the community’s enduring presence.
